The General Agricultural Cooperative Ljutomer Križevci is one of the most important agricultural cooperatives in northeastern Slovenia, connecting and supporting local agricultural producers with its knowledge, infrastructure, and professional support. It operates in the fields of arable farming, oil pressing, milk production, animal husbandry, farm supply, purchasing of produce, and retail activities. It places special emphasis on sustainable development, technological support for its members, and the integration of knowledge and practice in the local environment. The cooperative offers comprehensive support to its members and contract partners – from advice on production planning, variety selection, fertilisation, and plant protection, to the provision of raw materials, technological support, and the purchase and marketing of produce. In doing so, it contributes to greater competitiveness and rural development, and encourages the introduction of modern and sustainably oriented approaches in agriculture. SKZ Ljutomer Križevci also manages several sales centres and the Klas oil mill, and actively participates in the development of new products, services, and technologies in the field of agriculture. The cooperative's vision is to create conditions for the successful and long-term economic operation of its members, and to strengthen the local food supply chain and the Slovenian countryside.
